On November 23rd, 2006, I worked for the NFL on a history making game. I served as the lead editor for the Thanksgiving Night Halftime Show for the Kansas City Chiefs, Denver Broncos game. John Fogerty performed at Ford Field in Detroit during the United Way-themed halftime show of the Miami Dolphins-Lions game on CBS (12:30 p.m. ET) and then flew to Kansas City to perform during halftime of the Denver Broncos-Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium on NFL Network (8 p.m. ET). The game marked the first live regular-season game on NFL Network. We had to edit a 1 minute intro piece to show on the NFL Network prior to his live performance. We had a cameraman and producer fly with him on his private plane from Detroit to Kansas City, taping his journey in HD along the way. When he arrived at Kansas City we had about an hour to digitize and edit the final piece to air on the NFL Networks first live game.
