OpenCut.org Susannah Edit

I am currently finishing up my online cut for the OpenCut.org 1.0 project movie, Susannah. Have a couple last minute audio fixes I would like to get in, as well as smoothcam a shot or two. They finally posted a credits list on the OpenCut website, so I was able to change my temp credits into something more real. At this point I am actually very happy with my version, and most of all am particulary happy with the sound design. Added a few little touches of sound and music that really brought the piece to life. The final cut runs almost 5 minutes (4:52). There are 3 VFX shots, although all are extremely invisible, they were mainly done to fix a couple issues in the source footage. One is closer to a true FX shot, but is only about 12 frames long. Not quite sure exactly what the filmakers are looking for, but as I said, I am happy with my cut. Once I upload my version to VUZE, I will also upload a version here, with a better explanation of the details of my workflow and editing decisions.

In the meantime, you can find out more information about the contest here: http://www.opencut.org/
